Release Day for Elisabeth Bell Holiday Peekers for SCACD!!!

Hello and a very happy Friday to you!!! Today, we have something super exciting to share with you and just in time for the upcoming holidays!!! The time has come to reveal the Holiday Peekers Collection by Elisabeth Bell for SCACD Stamp Co.. This fabulous collection consists of 4 utterly adorable stamps…and if you purchase the entire collection, you will receive a wonderful savings along with three itty, bitty accessory stamps. All of these adorable stamps are NOW available for purchase at SCACD and at Quixotic Paperie for our European customers. Are you ready to see these sweeties? Stop by the blogs of my awesome SCACD DT sisters and get a peek at the latest Peekers!! You can find the blog list HERE at the SCACD Store Blog.

For my card, I am showcasing the darling Pumpkin Patch Peeker. Isn't she a cutie patootie?!? I love that she looks like she is surprising someone:o) How cute is that? It reminds me of all those "surprises" my boys used to do when they were little...how they would laugh when I got startled:o)

I kept the card very simple, and those adorable pumpkin die cuts are an oldie but goodie from my stash. I think I have had them for two or three years and never used them until now. What is wrong with me? Well, my goal is to use at least one item on each creation that has been neglected for far too long. Time to stop hoarding and start using what I have. I also pulled out my Sew Easy and used the fab Loop de Loop attachment. I thought it gave the illusion of falling leaves, and I love it as a border. Susana has ALL the Sew Easy products on sale right now...so if you ever considered checking it out, now would be the perfect time to take the plunge.

Okie doke, I think I have blabbed on enough. Please, stop by the SCACD Store Blog for all the links to my marvie DT Sisters Holiday Peeker 2011 creations. I know their beauties are going to knock your socks off and leave you filled with inspiration!!! Have a wonderful weekend and Happy Fall, y'all!!! :o)

I am also playing along with the following inspirational Challenges (:

Blessings and Hugs,

Inspired by Charms...

If you are here for the House Mouse & Friends Birthday post and Blog Candy, click HERE.

Happy Wednesday!!!! When I saw this  week's Creative Inspirations Challenge, I knew exactly which image I wanted to use - Precious Present by Sylvia Zet for SCACD Stamp Co...not just because CI Paints are awesome for coloring wings...but because...oh wait!...I'll tell you in a bit... ;o) These paints also give any creation that heavenly sparkle I love so much. :o) For today's card, I paired Fairy Dust and Sapphire. The pic below shows all the fabulous shimmer the paints create when light hits it. It's hard to believe a paint can create such brilliant sparkle, but CI Paints do!

I have been holding onto this "Best Friends" charm for quite some time now, and it was time to put it to use. What better encouragement than being challenged to "Use Charms"? Don't you love it when a challenge inspires you to use those neglected goodies you almost forgot about? I know I do!!

Now, onto WHY this week's particular challenge made this my "go to" image... I can't really explain it, but she reminds me of Wonder Woman, hence the color palette. I know Wonder Woman couldn't fly...she had her invisible plane to take care of that. I'm thinking maybe it's the hair...you know, I think that is it. Well, most of my BFFs (this is where the charm comes in) remind me of Wonder Women...they do it all and make it look effortless. I'm sure you can relate. Now, you can see how a simple challenge - focusing on one, little element - can jump-start your imagination and get those creative juices flowing. Hopefully, you have been inspired to show your CHARMing creations with us in this week's Creative Inspirations Paint Challenge.

Also, a huge THANKS to these awesome challenges for all their creative inspiration:
Have a super, super day!!!
Blessings and Hugs,
Carolyn

    Merry Christmas, Little Princess!!

If you are here for the House Mouse & Friends Birthday post and blog candy, click HERE.

Hello and a very happy Tuesday to you!!! :o) I cannot believe it has been over a week since my last post!! Man, time has been getting away from me quicker than usual...must be the whole aging process I keep hearing about. :o} Speaking of time going by so fast...have any of you started your Christmas cards? Every year, I tell myself to start early...every year, I don't follow through. Yes, I'm LAME-O!! I don't even have an excuse...especially with all the incredible year round challenge blogs that focus on Christmas...yes, I am hanging my head in total shame. :o(

Today, that all changes! I decided to stop being Queen LAME-O and created a Christmas card. It is later than I should have started, but was very easy with no sunshine beaming through my windows and no scorching, hot weather to distract me. Honestly, the cooler weather we've had lately has helped me get into the cheerful spirit of the holidays...I've even started planning my holiday menus :o)

I also wanted to THANK the following challenges for all the wonderful inspiration:

Seeing that I have a ton of things yet to do before this day comes to an end, I am going to have to see you later. Thank you bunches for dropping by for a visit during your busy day! I appreciate it more than you know. :o) Have a fabulous Tuesday evening!!! Tomorrow, I will have two posts to share with you...shocking right?...my Creative Inspirations post and my Design D.I.V.A.S. Oldies But Goodies Blog Hop Post. If you feel like popping by, I would love to see you and share a cuppa hot cocoa. :o)

    Blessing & Hugs,

We are celebrating holidays, friendships, and so much more!

I chose to share this image with you.

This lovely lady is called "Gift Girl", and she is perfect for any occasion. I chose to keep the card very simple, so this sweet stamp would take center stage. Don't you just LOVE a versatile stamp?!?! I definitely do!!!! With the colors, I thought it could double as a Christmas card...then again, maybe a birthday card...or how about a "Just for You" kinda card...since I couldn't make a decision, the sentiment never found it's way on my card. Like I said, gotta love a stamp that fits ANY occasion:)

All of Heather's awesome stamps are created using deeply etched red rubber mounted on an 1/8" cling foam cushion meaning you get a clear impression every time you stamp. Also....each stamp is produced and packaged in the USA.

    Hi There!

Happy Thursday and welcome September!!!! I am still a bit dazed that it is already September, and this year is almost at an end. My parents weren't kidding when they said the older you get time flies by faster! Sheesh! If it is zipping by this quickly now...what's it going to be like ten years from now? I shudder to think of it!

Today's card features another precious stamp from The Peekers 2 Collection by Elisabeth Bell for SCACD, and this little darling is called "Partners in Peeking Peeker." Aren't they adorable?!? I just love her cherubic face and the puppy's an absolute cutie...looks like he's smiling to me. :o) Makes me wonder what kind of mischief they are planning together. If she's anything like I was as a child...it will ALL be blamed on the pup. ;o) My poor mother and all the things she put up with. She must be a saint!

The wonderful patterned papers have been hiding in my stash for far too long to mention...I just love each beautiful sheet and hate to think of using them...cuz if I use them...they will all be gone! You understand, right? I kept the layout very simple...I'm really digging the simpler layouts at the moment...and the flower was created using the Big Scalloped Circles dies from Spellbinder's. The stitching around the edges was created using the awesome Sew Easy tool! It makes me happy to be able to create cards with stitching...minus the sewing machine...as we aren't on speaking terms at the moment (or ever really).

Thanks so very much for dropping by!!! I hope your September is spectacular and your Thursday is even better!!!!
    Blessings and Hugs,
    Carolyn

Thank you to the following challenges for providing the creative inspiration for today's card:

    Peekaboo ;o)

I see you :o) Happy Wednesday!!!! I hope your week has been treating you well thus far. Today's card was whipped up using Tracy's simply sweet sketch at Eat, Sleep, Stamp. I am barely eeking it in, but it has been a while since I have played along with her wonderful sketch challenge...so I had to get busy!! The sad part is...the sketch has been sitting on my desk for days...talk about waiting til the very last minute!

Today's card features the darling stamp "Secret Garden Peeker" by Elisabeth Bell for SCACD Stamp Co. Isn't she a cutie? I adore how it captures the inquisitiveness of children. I remember peeking around corners looking for my next big adventure...are there dinosaurs behind the fence?...or maybe a hidden treasure just waiting to be found? It doesn't seem like that long ago when me and my sons would go on our adventure walks...we would write stories of all the cool things we encountered on our journey through the park or the woods or even our neighborhood. It always amazed me at how incredibly fun their imaginations were...I think I am going to pull those stories out and read them again. :o) How I wish they were still little....I suppose that's why God created grandchildren. :o)

Thanks for taking a trip down memory lane with me! I hope your Wednesday is absolutely, positively WONDERFUL!!! And before I leave...if you haven't done so already...there are two chances to win some AWESOME Sylvia Zet for SCACD BLOG CANDY at the Store Blog....and time is quickly running out!!! If you love Sylvia Zet's beautiful artistry, you are not going to want to miss a chance to win what Susana has up for grabs!!! Good luck!!!!

    Blessing and Hugs,
    Carolyn

    Have a Fairy Magical Day!

Good morning, and HAPPY FRIDAY!!!! There is lots of FUN STUFF going on today at the SCACD Store Blog!!! Not too long ago, Susana welcomed Sylvia Zet to the SCACD Family, AND Elaine Hughes created an ADORABLY delicious card introducing us to Loli and Shellie - 1 of 8 NEW stamps by Sylvia Zet for SCACD Stamp Co. Well, TODAY, you can meet another one of the precious stamps by Sylvia that will soon be available for purchase at SCACD...her name is Poppy!! :o) There is also some AMAZING BLOG CANDY up for grabs...but you will have to check out the SCACD Store Blog for all the details!!!

Onto today's card...allow me to introduce you to Friendship Rose from the Fall Flora Fairies Collection from SCACD Stamp Co. Isn't she a cutie?!?! Plum, Peeked Out!!!

Can you believe it...things have actually calmed down enough for me to make a card :) I have been eying this adorable stamp ~All Peeked Out Peeker~ from The Peekers Collection #2 by Elisabeth Bell for SCACD Stamp Co. This tuckered out cutie pie was colored with Prismacolor markers with hints of shimmer added with DecoArt Ultrafine Glitter Paint (Ice Crystal).

The beautiful DP is from the Melissa Frances 5th Avenue paper pad. I absolutely adore the soft color palette and the lovely designs in this stunning 6 x 6 pad. The image was cut out using Nestabilities large classic circle, and behind it is the Floral Doily Motifs. Speaking of Nestabilities, the poofy flower was created with the Big Scallop Circle dies. I wish I didn't add the pearls to the center of the flower...kinda makes it look like eggs in a bird's nest...oh, well...as they say, hindsight is twenty-twenty.

Thanks a bunch for dropping by!!! I hope your day is filled with love and happiness!!!

    Blessings and Hugs,

    Baby, Come Back!!

Hello!!! Isn't the recently released news from SCACD absolutely FABULOUS?!?!?! In case you didn't know, a new artist has joined the SCACD Family...the amazingly talented Sylvia Zet of Wee Stamps!!!!! If you haven't already stopped by the SCACD store blog, you may want to do so now because Susana is offering a surprise to one lucky commenter...and it ends on August 14th. I'll let you in on a little secret...there is also a prize up for grabs at the SCACD Facebook page for one lucky commenter, but you'll have to go there to check out all the deets.

Now, for today's card, I had to get inky with the darling image, Sweet Cheeks Peeker, from the recently released The Peekers #2 Collection by Elisabeth Bell for SCACD Stamp Co. Isn't she a doll baby? I colored her with Prismacolor markers and highlighted a few places with DecoArt Ultra Fine Glitter Paint in Ice Crystal...to add a pop of sparkle. I also whipped out my Sew Easy because I love to see stitching on cards. For this card, I used the Sew Easy Zig Zag Stitch and Standard Stitch. In the photo above, you can see I also used the Standard Stitch on the card's interior. And, do you see the bow made with Baker's Twine? That is also from the Sew Easy Collection...all of which are on SALE at SCACD. I've been wanting some Baker's Twine for a while now, but could not afford those massive spools...let alone use it all. Since frugality is my middle name, I opted to wait for that perfect deal...which I found at SCACD:) Now, I have some of that adorable baker's twine to play with:) The card stock is DCWV and the patterned papers have been in my stash for a while now...Nana's Nursery Baby Girl Collection also from DCWV.

Well, I am off to run a ton of errands. I hope your day is filled with kindness and beauty!!! Thank you so very much for dropping by:)

    Blessings and Hugs!!!

    Friendship Blooms :)

Good morning:o) I have another card for you today using the awesome Sew-Easy!!! Since I am all thumbs when it comes to my sewing machine, this tool allows me to add the beautiful stitched elements to my cards without feeling like throwing anything out the window. For today's card, I used the Scallop Stitch Sew-Easy attachment on the card front. I was attempting to create a rainbow-like effect, and I think it came out alright. What I really like is the texture it adds to my cards, as well as that extra special personal touch. Call me sappy...I know. I also like creating my own patterned paper one stitch at a time.

I even went Sew-Easy crazy on the card's interior. I used the Zig-Zag Stitch attachment and the Standard attachment to add just a little more *PoP*, plus all the sewing helps conserve on the adhesive...and I use lots of adhesive;o) To finish off the card front and interior, I just added a few floral embellishments, a bow, a button and a sentiment. I know it's not the most extravagant card, but it sure was FUN to create:o)

If you would like to play with the awesome Sew-Easy products, you can get your hands on this fabulous tool at SCACD...and they are on SALE...the stitch piercer, all the attachment heads, all the floss (including the baker's twine) and the Foam Piercing Mat. A fabulously fun product AND savings to boot, now that's the kinda thing I look for when I consider adding something new to my crafty arsenal. If you get it or already have it, I would love to see what you create:o)

Thanks BUNCHES for dropping by!!! Hopefully, I will have a card for you tomorrow:o)

    Blessings and Hugs!!!

Today's card was inspired by the following FAB challenges:

    The Sweetest Flower :)

Happy Saturday!!!!! Do you have any FUN things planned for today? Nothing special here. The weather is really BLECH...gloomy and rainy...so, I think it is going to be a lay-around-the-house-with-hubs-and-watch-old-movies kinda day. I love those guilt-free days of relaxation :o)

Today's card came about from playing with my Sew-Easy. I have been going crazy with my standard Sew-Easy attachment, but realized I was neglecting the other fab attachments I had sitting on my craft table. So, I pulled out a piece of scrap Kraft card stock, my Sew-Easy Burst Stitch attachment, some summery floss and got busy playing. Once I was finished stitching in the sweet bursts, I decided I wanted to turn it into a simple card by trimming the corners, adding a simple, floral embellishment and a sentiment from PTI. I like the texture the stitching added to the card...and for "playing around", I thought it came together okay.

For the card's interior, I simply added one of the adorable stamps From the Vault by Elisabeth Bell for SCACD. Isn't she a cutie?!?! I love her precious, little face:o) I stamped the image, "Daisy Doll", onto another piece of scrap Kraft card stock...I have seen others do this and thought I would give it a try...hey, after all I am "playing" right? Might as well go all in:o) This sweet image was colored with Prismacolor markers; and for a pop of the sparkly stuff, a coating of DecoArt Ultra Fine Glitter Paint in Ice Crystal was added to her. Then, she was cut out...popped up with a dimensional...and placed next to the sentiment.

I know the card isn't the greatest, but I had a fabulous time playing with my Sew-Easy and getting rid of some scraps:o) After doing this, it gave me more ideas for a future card...I think the Sew-Easy Burst Stitch would be great on a Christmas card...don't the bursts sorta look like snowflakes? Maybe a white on white Christmas card...white card stock and sparkly white floss...hmmmmm....You know what's even better?ALL the Sew-Easy products are currently on sale at SCACD. There are a few more attachments I need to add to my collection, so I better get them before Susana runs out! I have another card featuring a different Sew-Easy attachment, sure hope you will drop by tomorrow and check it out:) Hope your weekend is going fabulously!!!!!
    Hugs and Blessings!!!!

Victoria Case for SCACD - Spotlight Day 4

    Happy Hump Day!!!!
I hope your week has been WONDERFUL!!!!

Today is Designer Showcase Day #4 for the AWESOME and soon-to-be-released "Sweet Meets Sassy Collection #2" by Victoria Case for SCACD:) Let me tell you this collection has something for everyone!!! Actually, it is two collections rolled into one - "Hearts & Hugs ~ The Fun Collection" AND "Retro Crew Collection #2"...but you know Susana, if you purchase both complete sets (Sweet Meets Sassy Collection #2)...you will get MUCH MORE for your MOOLAH!!! These wonderful stamps will be available for purchase on Friday, June 24th!!! And we will be showcasing a new stamp everyday until Release Day, but you will have to check the STORE BLOG to see which two designers will be spotlighting a new stamp:)

Today, Crystal and I have the pleasure of introducing you to "Rosie"!!!! Isn't she BEAUTIFUL?!?! She reminds me of June Cleaver, and takes me back to my childhood when I used to watch reruns of "Leave It To Beaver" and "The Andy Griffith Show":)  How very appropriate for her to be one of the lovely stamps from Retro Crew Collection #2....guess that means I'm now considered a relic, I mean, retro too;)

Rosie was colored with Prismacolor markers, and the hints of *sparkle* were made with "Ice Crystal" DecoArt Ultra Fine Glitter Paint...I absolutely LOVE this paint!!! It creates the most wonderful sparkle, and you know how much I ♡♡♡ sparkle!!! The fabulous polka dot papers are from the Echo Park - Dots & Stripes from the Metropolitan Collection. I am not at all a seamstress...me and my sewing machine have a very strained relationship...but I love seeing stitching on cards! My problem was solved by the wonderful Sew Easy tool:) Now, I can add a few stitches to my cards...without having to fuss with my sewing machine! And, did you see the fun button in the blossom? That was made using the 1st Impressions "Button Set 2" Mold and Hearty Air Dry Clay. I don't have the Black Hearty Clay, so I painted it with "Onyx" Creative Inspirations Paint, and pumped up the sparkle with a coating of DecoArt Ultra Fine Glitter Paint. Clay typically intimidated the heck out of me; but, with these fab molds and this lightweight clay...I have found some new, creative toys to love:) Okay! I have gone on and on enough...sorry for the rambling. Back to today's regularly scheduled program...

Would you like a chance to win "Rosie"?

All you have to do is leave me a comment before 10 p.m. eastern time June 23rd, and your name will be added to the drawing to receive this FABULOUS stamp! AND
if you would like to better YOUR chances at winning, pop on over to Crystal's AMAZING blog and leave her a comment (you know she has a beauty in store for us with all her amazing talent...and she ALWAYS  accessorizes her creations perfectly)!!!
That's all you have to do
Then, on Thursday (June 23rd) at 11 p.m. eastern time, check the store blog to see if you are a winner.

****Don't forget...TOMORROW 2 of my design team sisters will be spotlighting another new stamp from this stamptacular collection AND you will have another opportunity to WIN on their blogs too ...BUT, you'll have to check the STORE BLOG tomorrow to find out who:)

    Have a sensational Wednesday!!!!

    Spread Your Wings and Fly!!!

Good morning:) Sure hope your week has been FABULOUS!!!! My card for today was inspired by this week's Creative Inspirations Paint Challenge...it's all about Butterflies!! AND, I love anything butterfly themed:) I don't know why, but they always make me smile...like daisies and sunflowers:) Don't you just love those wonderful gifts from God that touch your heart and bring joy into your day?

Recently, I received some beautiful Prima butterflies from the Farfalla Collection...which by the way are on SALE at SCACD (:currently 25% off the regular price:)...wish I would have picked up a few of the others cuz they are WONDERFUL!!! All I can say is... if you think they are something you might be interested in...I would get my order in soon because once they're gone...they're gone! I am SO hoping to get the ones that didn't make their way into my shopping cart...but I just placed an order and have to wait a bit...don't want DH snooping around the ol' craft room...KWIM?;) I painted the butterfly's body with Ivory CI Paint and its wings with Fairy Dust CI Paint...can you see all the lovely shimmer it added? It also made the original colors *pop* a bit more:) I also used the Ivory CI Paint on the white blossoms. Man, I love these paints!!!!

Did you notice the doily? Can you believe it was originally a plain, white doily? Don't get me wrong...I love my white doilies, but every now and then...I wish they were a different color to better match my card. So, I painted on a coat of Beige CI Paint to help it match the colors I selected...and I must say, I really like how it turned out:) I also used this paint to "ink" around the edges of my patterned paper and card stock. I tell ya...these paints are a paper crafter's dream!!!

I also busted out my new Sew Easy on this card...and I love it!!!! Inititally, I was a bit hesitant about purchasing it...because I have the Cutter Bee Bug. It is supposed to do the same thing (minus the interchanging tool heads), but it only works when used on lighter weight card stock/ papers. Since my sewing machine doesn't really like me...and I love all the sewing I see on projects...I decided to bite the bullet and give the Sew Easy a go...AND I am SO HAPPY I DID:) The piercers in the tool heads are longer and have a pointier point than the Cutter Bee Bug, which makes them go through your paper like a hot knife in butter. Now, I want to get my hands on the new attachment heads Susana has added to the store!!! Woo Hoo...I can start sewing on my projects much more often:)

Here is the card's interior. I opted to keep it VERY simple. Can you see the sparkle? It was created with Maya Mists and CI Paints:) I know you have already heard me say this, but I don't know what I did before Susana introduced me to Creative Inspiration Paints!

I am also playing along in the following inspirational challenges:
Okay...have you fallen asleep at the keyboard from this mega long post? Sorry for blabbing away! I hope your Wednesday is filled with blessings and all things beautiful:) And...don't forget to check out my SCACD sneak peek post for today! Today marks Day #4...only a couple days away from Friday's Carmen Medlin "Natural Beauty Collection" for SCACD Blog Hop:) I am SO excited!!! The chance to win the awesome blog candy that coincides with this release ends tomorrow...if you want to get the deets, check out my sneak peek post HERE. Thank you for stopping by!!!!

    HAPPY HUGS!!!
